Reggie Mungatopi grew up around Jilamara Art centre. His mother Colleen Freddy Puruntatameri worked at the organisation as an artsworker and artist for many years and his grandfather Paddy Freddy Puruntatameri was one of the first senior carvers at the organisation in the 1980s. 

Reggie also works for the Milikapiti Men’s Shed, labouring and working around the community. He enjoys painting in his spare time and spending time around the art centre talkign with family and senior artists.
