Yikwani means fire in the Tiwi language. This work is about the burning off of dry grass that happens each dry season on the Tiwi islands.

Raelene was also influenced by Jackson Pollock’s works, whilst making this print.

This is a five colour screenprint, made by the artist in collaboration with Masterprinter Basil Hall during a print workshop at Jilamara in April 2017.
