Kwarikwaringa (Butterfly)

Kwarinkwaringa relates to all butterflies. We see the kwarikwaringa mostly in dry season time when they eat the flowers that come up after the rain. We have many different types and colours of kwarikwaringa and Tiwi people believe that sometimes when they see kwarikwaringa, it gives them a sign – sometimes good sign, sometimes bad sign and usually it’s about family.
