Jermiah Black recently started painting at Jilamara this year in 2019. He was inspired to try painting after growing up watching his grandfather Black Joe. 

His favourite medium is painting with natural ochres on canvas and paper. 

Before joining Jilamara, Jermiah had worked in Milikapiti at the community garden. 

As a young emerging artist, he is excited about continuing his family tradition of painting as many of his family painted their whole lives.
