'Piranga' 2017-08-24
24.5 x 19.5cm, hard ground etching with aquatint
$230
The Tiwi Islands are rich with healthy bush tucker. Piranga or long bum are collected by the women who go hunting at low tide. They are eaten raw fresh from the sea or cooked up on the fire back at camp.
This is a hard ground etching with chine collection, made by the artist in collaboration with Masterprinter Basil Hall during a print workshop at Jilamara in April 2017.
